We had tickets to fly to Charlotte today, but we missed our flight--first time EVER!
UBER picked us up at 4:30 am. The driver drove 10-20 miles UNDER the speed limit, stopped before every dip in the road and intersection, missed the exit for Frontier (the Terminal). Had to drive in and out of the parking lot. Ugh.
When we finally arrived, TSA Pre was the longest line, but not having to pull out liquids, take off shoes, belt, jacket--made it worth the wait. Got to our gate at 5:30--or what Bob THOUGHT was our gate. We were ready, but wondered why there were so few people waiting at our gate--and there was no sign on the board saying Charlotte. Neither one of us had gotten much sleep, we became involved in resonating stuff in our backpacks so they would fit under the seats (personal items), lost track of time. Realized we should've boarded 20 minutes ago--found out we were at the wrong gate, ran to the right gate, but door to plane was already closed. TWILIGHT ZONE. We had NEVER missed a flight before in all our years of traveling.
Took a Lyft home. Went back to bed. Sean called us to take care of Barrett who was home sick. Sean had to go to a funeral.
This was an expensive dry run counting the Frontier ticket (and stuff) and Uber and Lyft rides to and from airport.
Slept most of the day since we had little sleep the day before.
Made reservations for Saturday.
